So following are the steps to create a local Administrator account on Windows 10/11;

  • First of all, go to your Windows device.
  • Then from there, open File explorer.
  • Explorer opens the C drive in the file and then opens the Users folder.
  • In the user’s folder, you will find your profiles.
  • From those profiles, select your old profile.
  • Then copy the content from your old profile.
  • After that, you will see a new user profile.
  • There you have to pass the content copied from the old profile.
  • Now the pasting of data from the old profile to the new will begin.
  • That’s it; this way, you can solve the error that this file does not have an app associated with its issue.

Try to Run SFC and DISM scan:-

The Next option you must do is to try to run the SFC and DISM scan on your Windows 10 or 11 devices. If the first solution doesn’t work, then try the next solution. When the files of that application or device don’t support the file, then the issue occurs. To solve the issue, try to run the SFC and DISM scan. Following are the steps to run SFC and DISM scan on Windows 10 or 11;

  • First of all, go to the Start menu from the desktop.
  • Or press the Windows button to open the Start menu.
  • Then in Start Menu, you will see the search tab.
  • In the search tab, type CMD and search for it.
  • Then in the search result, you will see Command prompt.
  • Now right-click on the Command prompt option.
  • And then click on the Run as Administrator option.
  • Then in the command prompt, you can type Commands like; SFC/scannow.
  • And then press the Enter option.
  • Now the running of the order will begin.
  • After finishing the Command, you have to restart the device.
  • And finally, you will see the results.
  • Now for the DISM scan, you have to follow the same process.
  • Go to the command prompt and run it.
  • In the command prompt, you have to the Command below; DISM/Online/Cleanup-Image/ReatoreHealth.
  • And then press the Enter button.
  • Now the running of the Command will begin.
  • After finishing the Command running, you have to restart your device.
  • And after restarting the device, you must see the error resolved.
  • That’s it.

Try to run PowerShell Commands:-

The next option to fix the error that this file does not have an app associated with it is to run the PowerShell Command. It is also related to the command prompt. So following are the steps to run PowerShell Commands on Windows 10 or 11 devices;

  • Open the Windows start menu.
  • You can press the Windows button to go to the Start Menu.
  • Now in the Start Menu, type for PowerShell.
  • Now next list will open.
  • From there, right, click on Powershell.
  • Then from the list, select the Run as administrator option.
  • In the Command prompt, you have to enter the following code;
  • Get-AppXPackage-AllUsers | Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation-like”*SystemApps*”} | Foreach (Add-AppxPackage-DisableDevelopmentMode-Register “$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml”}
  • And then, click on the Enter button.
  • Then the running of the code will begin.
  • After finishing the run, restart the device.
  • And the issue is solved. That’s it.
